OKOROJI CONGRATULATES DAUGHTER, ALEX, FOR MAKING RICHTOPIA’S TOP 250 INFLUENTIAL WOMEN IN THE WORLD.

 

Chairman, Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) and CEO, TOPS, Chief Tony Okoroji has congratulated his first daughter, Alex Okoroji who has recently been listed as one of the top 250 most influential women in the world by Richtopia, the world-renowned UK based digital platform famous for their global lists.

The widely followed writer and International Digital Talk Radio Host famous for ‘The Naked Talk’ is currently ranked as the No 163 most influential woman in the world.

Currently at No1 is the American Democratic Presidential candidate, Hilary Clinton, Michelle Obama is at No 6 while German Chancellor Angela Merkel is at no 18 and British Prime Minister, Theresa May is currently at No 22. Media personalities in the list include the author, J.K. Rowling at No 3, Oprah Winfrey at No 4, Ellen Degeneres at No 20 and CNN’s Christiana Amanpour at No 28. Three other Nigerian women made the list. They are Oby Ezekwesili at 93, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala at 156 and Abike Dabiri at 161.

 

Alex Okoroji who has been in the Richtopia list for seven weeks gave an outstanding speech recently in New Delhi, India at the 2017 Annual Global Women Economic Forum (WEF). Her address titled "Understanding Business Globalization, Creativity and Innovative Leadership" received resounding acknowledgement. At the forum, attended by women leaders, entrepreneurs and celebrities from 120 countries, she was honored with the prestigious WEF17 ICONIC WOMAN AWARD.

 

Expressing happiness at the global recognition received by his daughter, Chief Okoroji said, “I am not exactly surprised. We have grown up in an environment where we wake up every day understanding that half measure is not good enough and we must strive to be the best in whatever we do. By personal example, I have taught my children that hard work does not kill and that money should not be the driving force in what they do. If you are looking for the richest women in the world, she will never make the list but if you are searching for those connecting with people and making a difference in their lives, oh she is there and I am very proud of the recognition”
