Recall that Soyinka had said on Wednesday, November 2 while giving a speech to students of Oxford University in England that he would destroy his Green card in the eventuality of a Trump presidency but that decision will have to wait.
 

He had said: “If in the unlikely event he does win, the first thing he’ll do is to say [that] all green-card holders must reapply to come back into the US. Well, I’m not waiting for that.” He has however added now that he will not destroy his green card yet even after Donald Trump won the US election on Wednesday, November 9. He will now do so when Trump is sworn in on January 20, 2017. This picture seems to suggest that he is seriously preparing for that day which is still 72 days away.
